Rotunda Museum

The Rotunda Museum, one of the worlds first purpose-built museums originally opened in 1829. This circular building was designed by William Smith, the father of English Geology and creator of the infamous UK Strata map of 1815. Event reimagined the displays within the grade 1 Listed building, layering interpretation and introducing more interactivity to broaden the appeal to audiences. In the iconic domed room, we utilised the colours of the strata to plot the geological objects combined with the social history collection.
