The Crystal

Siemens initiated the urban sustainability centre to encourage dialogue and understanding about the future of cities. The architecture designed by Wilkinson Eyre and engineered by Arup achieved Breeam Outstanding and Leed Platinum status. The exhibition begins on the mezzanine with the mega trends urbanisation, climate change and demographic change. The ground floor explains how technology can be utilised to improve the performance of cities. At the final chapter, visitors unlock their RFID journey and a future city vision is revealed. My involvement ranged from the pitch to designing the overarching concept and AV elements, building a large scale working model and proposals for external exhibits.
